The sculpture is 3.5m high with a base measuring 2m x 2.5m.
Sharp and vivid at first glance—like a delicate swirl dense with color, the sculpture changes form and shape as the observer moves around it. It expands and dillutes in space, each step revealing a new perspective. The curves elongate, then twist, the edges thickening and thinnening with the movement of your gaze. Painted bright yellow-gold-lemon on the outside and matte green-apple-velvet on the inside, the choice of slightly different coloured faces lends the sculpture a vibrancy of movement.
The sculpture is lightweight and easy to dismantle and install, requiring no anchoring to the ground. The elements of the sculpture are bolted to a painted steel base, masked by stabilized natural undergrowth foam.
Many thanks to Gérard, Albert, Donovan and Fabrice from Ateliers Melens & Dejardin chaudronnerie.
Thanks also to Guy Zinnen for the paintwork.
